PUBLIC NOTICE OF BOARD OF EDUCATION VACANCY
The Allamuchy Township School District Board of Education hereby gives public notice that a vacancy exists on the Board of Education.
The Board invites any qualified resident of the Allamuchy Township School District who is interested in serving on the Board of Education to submit a written request for consideration for appointment to fill the vacancy.
Qualifications for Board Membership- To be eligible for appointment, a candidate must:
● Be a citizen of the United States;
● Be a resident of the Allamuchy Township School District and have resided in the district for at least one year immediately preceding the appointment;
● Be able to read and write;
● Be registered to vote in the district and not disqualified from voting pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19:4-1;
● Not have been convicted of a crime or offense listed in N.J.S.A. 18A:12-1;
● Not concurrently hold office as Mayor or as a member of the governing body of Allamuchy Township.
*Within thirty (30) days of appointment, the individual selected to fill the vacancy shall undergo a criminal history background investigation to ensure eligibility pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:12-1 et seq.
Application Process: Written requests for consideration should include the candidate’s name, address, contact information, and a brief statement of interest in serving on the Board of Education. Submissions should be submitted no later than July 13, 2026. Interest should be submitted directly to:
