    Connect with Character
    The six pillars framework makes clear distinctions between right and wrong, between 
    moral principles and personal opinions. It provides a practical means of character development: a 
    plainly articulated and easily understood message, and consistent terminology to make the 
    6 Pillars: trustworthiness, fairness, respect, caring responsibility, and citizenship
    Trustworthiness- being honest, sincere, forthright and candid, keeping promises, being 
    Respect- honoring the individual worth and dignity of others, showing courtesy and civility, 
    honoring reasonable social standards and customs.
    Responsibility- being accountable, exercising control, setting goals, choosing a positive attitude, 
    doing one’s duty, and being self-reliant.
     Fairness- understanding the processes and results of decision making through impartiality, 
    through gathering of facts and hearing all sides.
    Caring- being compassionate, kind, generous, and sharing.
    Citizenship- respecting the law, doing one’s share, pursuing the common good, and protecting 
    Framework rests on the social and emotional learning theory that the role of a caring 
    “community of learners” enables the full range of students to progress in their academic, 
    ethnical, emotional, and social learning.
    Our character-education program contains:
    1. Explicit character-education contents
    2. Social and emotional learning curriculum.
    3. Academic curriculum integrity.
     
     
    Olweus Bullying Prevention Program
    Overview: The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program (OBPP) is a whole-school program that 
    has been proven to prevent and reduce bullying through a school setting. It helps change school 
    climate and reduce bullying.
    OBPP is used at the school, classroom, and individual levels. School administrators, teachers and 
    other staff are primary responsible for introducing and implementing the program.

     To reduce existing bullying problems among students
    To prevent the development of new bullying problems
    To achieve better peer relations at school
    Program Components: OBPP is not a classroom curriculum. It is a whole-school, systems-
    change program with different levels that include: school, classrooms, and individual 
    components.
